Thing 9
This was the most fun thing yet! You Tube is blocked for student use in my building but it's available for staff. This is another feature with endless possibilities if you have the time to search. It's unfortunate that Teacher Tube has commercials before the videos which could be inappropriate for young viewers.

Youtube is blocked for students at my school too, but not for teachers. I have a multimedia projector hooked up to my laptop which allows me then to show anything I want from my computer. My students recently needed video clips for a project we were doing. They did the research at home, then they were able to show clips in class under my log in. It's a way to get around the ban. I remind them to be appropriate. No problems yet.
ReplyDeleteWow-that is so neat that your both of your districts have allowed the teachers use Youtube. Do you know how they do it? Right now, my district has blocked it for everyone, on all computers.
